About the Series:
Microsoft is teaming up with education training specialist Tablet Academy to deliver a series of events aimed at supporting school leaders and classroom educators to further embed and benefit from the features provided by Microsoft tools. The focus of these events is to help institutions looking to develop both their in-class delivery and remote programmes.
Discover the wide range of accessibility features built into Microsoft tools that are available for all learners. For students who access additional support with their learning, these tools can be essential for fostering independence and providing consistency whether they are at school or at home.
Microsoft’s mission is “To empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more”. One of the ways they are realising this vision is by building an array of features and tools that can be easily utilised at no additional cost, that can support with a wide range of accessibility needs.
This webinar will outline the range of tools and the needs and learning differences they can support. It will cover a range of demonstrations and explore practical examples of how they can be used.
This session is designed for SENCo’s, teachers and teaching assistants who are have at least a familiarity with the use of Microsoft Office applications.
About your Trainer:
Sam is a former English teacher and head of department, with fifteen years of experience as a teacher and over twenty working in education.
As a senior consultant for Tablet Academy UK, Sam now provides training, consultancy and advice on adoption and best practice for embedding the use of technology for teaching and learning. She also provides training and guidance for non-teaching staff, as well as providing training and adoption support for staff working for local and national government.
Sam can often be found presenting on behalf of Microsoft and is an MIE Expert, MIE Master Trainer and Microsoft Certified Educator.
