About the Series:

This series of webinars is aimed at school leaders and classroom educators in the UK (England) as a journey to promote awareness and appreciation of the benefits of Minecraft Education Edition as a learning tool.

The focus of these events is to help institutions looking to develop the use of Minecraft within the community and provide information on where to get further information, gain certifications and participate in challenges and competitions for learners.

Session Overview:

It is well documented how using games in a classroom context can facilitate collaborative learning, promote problem solving and stimulate an engaging learning environment. This webinar will help you to understand the benefits of learning through game play and explore how to facilitate game based learning in your classroom.

About your Trainer:

Simon Johnson

Formerly a teacher of ICT & Computing, Simon is now a principal consultant for the Tablet Academy (A Microsoft in Education Global Training Partner). As well as being a Minecraft Global Mentor / Certified Educator, Simon is also a Microsoft Innovative Expert Educator, MIE Trainer and Computing At School Master Teacher.  Although being secondary/high school trained, Simon also has experience of working with children from the ages of 4 up to 18. Simon has been using Minecraft in Education for the last 8 years, mainly to support the teaching of Computing, but also to support the use of Minecraft across the whole curriculum.
