Why should you attend:

As we have all experienced through the COVID pandemic, the wellbeing of both staff and students are key in maintaining a stable environment conductive to maintaining a rich learning journey for students. If your schools uses has an infrastructure based on Microsoft solution then this webinar is for you.

What can you expect:

By the end of this webinar, you will have an understanding of the role that fostering wellbeing plays in Enabling Equitable Education. You will also gain an understanding of how Microsoft tools can provide feedback on social and emotional skills, critical in building the self-awareness needed for effective collaborative learning.  We will show examples of how immersive learning experiences can provide environments through which students can develop negotiation skills, share resources, and solve problems together.  The solutions covered that support fostering wellbeing will include Microsoft365, Microsoft Teams, OneNote, Minecraft, Flipgrid and Education Insights.

Who is it for:

This is the second part of a three part series entitled `Enabling Equitable Education´ which explores the role Microsoft solutions play in providing a rounded ecosystem conductive to enabling a rich learning journey for students. This webinar is for school leaders, those responsible for the strategic deployment of technology, and teachers who are using Education Technology to support teaching and learning both in, and outside the classroom.

Presenters

Sam O’Leary

Sam is a former English teacher and head of department with fifteen years of experience as a teacher and over twenty years working in education.  She is passionate about the transformative impact technology can have on learning and teaching and is a keen advocate of supporting students to develop the digital skills to help navigate their future.

As a senior consultant at Tablet Academy UK, Sam provides training, consultancy and advice on the adoption and best practice when embedding the use of technology for teaching and learning.  She also provides training and guidance for non-teaching staff and support staff, as well as supporting local and national government agencies with digital transformation.

Sam is an MIE Expert, MIE Master Trainer, Microsoft Certified Trainer and Microsoft Certified Educator and can often be found presenting on behalf of Microsoft at national and international events.

Clara Heppleston

Clara is a former Mathematics teacher and head of department with 18 years of experience as a teacher and middle leader. She has extensive experience in data tracking and analysis to monitor the performance of pupils and has been responsible for the creation and implementation of a secondary school timetable. She has experience in using technology to enhance face to face and remote teaching and is passionate about empowering teachers and staff to feel confident in their use of technology for teaching and learning.
