About the Series:

Microsoft is teaming up with education training specialist Tablet Academy to deliver a series of events aimed at supporting school leaders and classroom educators to further embed and benefit from the features provided by Microsoft tools. The focus of these events is to help institutions looking to develop both their in-class delivery and remote programmes.

Event Summary:

Reading Progress is a brand new feature in Microsoft Teams designed for educators to support their students in building fluency in their reading.

Session Overview:

Tracking students’ progress with reading is often time-consuming and difficult to monitor. Microsoft have built a new Reading Progress features into Microsoft Teams for Education to support students and educators to make this process simpler and more effective in a non-stigmatizing and highly customizable way.

We’ll cover:

  • How a teacher can set up a new Reading Progress task for their students with the relevant options
  • How a student can access a reading task, record themselves reading and submit this to the teacher.
  • How a teacher can review a student’s work and check their mispronunciations, insertions, self-corrections and repetitions
  • How a teacher can see the data for each student over time as well as across the whole class in Class Insights

This session is designed for teachers and teaching assistants who are familiar with the basics of setting assignments in Microsoft Teams.
